Front Cover Evaluation

What Went Well?
In my opinion, the front page of the magazine was good. This was because I ensured that all the typical elements of a magazine front cover were added. The image I used for the main picture was good because it gave my magazine an artistic theme, but I believe it could have been improved. I also think that the choice of colours went well with the main image because it went with the seasonal theme of autumn colours. I didn't use a lot of colours - I used 4 different colours. Therefore the page didn't look too messy.

Even Better If...
As mentioned before, I believed that the main image could have been improved by choosing a different pose for the model. This would allow me to add more cover line topics to the page. I think that the front cover looked slightly empty because of this. I was cautious when adding cover line topics because I didn't want my page to look messy and I didn't want to add text on the model's face. If I was to do this again I would change the main image to something much more school related despite the fact I liked the artistic feeling of the original picture. Lastly, the biggest mistake was not checking my spelling and grammar. A few days after my peer pointed out a spelling error I made on the cover page. The word I spelt incorrectly was competition, on the front cover I spelt it "compertoion". Next time, before I save the image I would read and check my work. I may also let one of my peers to help proofread just in case I don't see the mistake.
 I corrected the error.
